We received a letter from an ex-restoration member in which they shared the following info.... which happened to them while in the group. And one reason why they no longer belong. "...the minister told me to read something out of one of D.S. WARNER's writings... it made me sick. Basically said, I would be lost if I was in opposition to movements teaching. " We got copy of this from the book, "The Cleansing of the Sanctuary", of which Mike Atnip had a copy he could scan for us. Here is what he said about this. Note: Attached is a scan of the page. Yes it says just that. One point to remember: This part of the book was written by H M Riggle, not Warner. Riggle and Smith are responsible for furthering the Revelation studies, and may be more responsible for the lifting up of COG than Warner. Warner, in his beginning anyways, seemed to think that the "Holiness" revival as a whole was God's work of "cleansing the sanctuary". - Mike Atnip
Here is the page, read it for yourself. Bear in mind that this was used by a Church of God Restoration minister to put fear in the member that they must without question obey them. They must do exactly what they say or else. The or else is you will be, "LOST". In other words, "You will be cast into hell with the devil and his angels."  Can you believe it? These people are indeed the one's under a delusion. They think that their work is the work of God. Then claiming such, they turn it around on you, and tell you that if you do not obey them, you will be lost forever. It is this very tactic that causes so many to fear them. They completely instill in your mind that they are, the great power of God on the earth, and if you do not do their every bidding, you are opposing the very work of God, and thus Lost Forever. Here is the problem. They claim to be the truth. They do not have the fruit to prove it. Where is their faith? It is in their multitude of extra-biblical teachings, which they have to twist the scripture to get them to match up. Where is their hope? In their exclusive stand on their doctrines and teachings, they cannot and will not stand on God's word alone, they must add to it. Where is their love? It is not for God, nor for you, nor for anyone who oppose's them. That is why they can cut you off so quick. They have love alright. It is a love of the group they have lifted up so high that God will have to bring it down. Who do they teach you to fear? Them. They teach you to fear them as some move of God. Where should your faith be? In this group? No.
Put your faith in the God who created Heaven and Earth. Put your hope in your Savior the Lord Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Love your brother as yourself. Fear no man, but fear God. Finally, if you do all this, you will get a one way ticket out of this group. You have another spirit, one they cannot discern. One that loves truth, truth about how they treat people. They do not love their people. They abuse them. They yell and scream at them in the public. They are not of God, else they would know you. You are of God little children. You are precious to him. May God have mercy on those who would oppose the little precious children of God. And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Jesus said that if anyone would offend a child of God. It would be better for them to have a mill stone tied about their neck, and that they would be cast into the depths of the ocean. Do you see? We are not to fear them. We are God's little ones. It is for them to fear offending us little children, lest God would be found to fight them. God will destroy all those who offend the little children of God. All those who make the very children of God not want to live for him anymore, because of the way they have been abused. The Church of God Restoration has been so abusive to the little children of God that God himself is taking note. And it would have been better for this movement to have never started. They have abused the children of our Lord so horribly. We have received many letters from those who have been offended by this group. So much so that they do not go to church anymore. They do not profess Christ. They do not understand how they can be a Christian. They are offended in their mind so much, that they get head pains just thinking about trying to live for God. These offended believers who wanted to live for God, will be avenged. I tell you that there will be a day of reckoning. And that day will be horrible for the likes of the ministry of this Church of God Restoration, who have offended so many of Gods children. Oh, they do not need to fear us, we are just God's little ones, they need to fear the God of the offended. |
